My Story
My Scentsy story begins in early 2010 when my niece, Jessica, became a Scentsy consultant. I was not familiar with Scentsy, but had a party to help my niece get started. I quickly fell in love with the Scentsy idea and all of the wonderful products. My favorite Scentsy bar was, and still is, Black Raspberry Vanilla. Fast forward to 2012.
I had reconnected with an old friend who was now a Scentsy consultant. We agreed to meet up at a craft fair where she had set up a Scentsy booth. I browsed the other various booths and ended up staying most of the day at my friend's booth helping her, selling products and taking orders as I was already familiar with the products. She and her director thought I had potential and encouraged me to join the Scentsy family with them, to have some fun together and make a little extra income to boot!
As I had been looking for a way to supplement my family's income, I took them up on their offer and joined the Scentsy team on October 30, 2012. It's been a lot of fun and my favorite part of this journey is seeing the joy that Scentsy brings to my customers; smelling their favorite scents, introducing them to the Warmer and Scent of the Month and all of the inventive new products that Scentsy produces.
Fast forward to 2015. It's been almost three years now and I am still loving this wonderful opportunity that Scentsy has given me. It's allowed me to meet new people, bring a fabulous product to all of my Scentsy customers. I am building a team and working towards goals that I never dreamed of. Scentsy is exceptional at treating their consultants like family by rewarding them with incentive trips and gifts and actively gives back more than they take.
2016--wow, what a year so far! I feel like I have come a long way as a consultant and Scentsy has grown also and is taking fragrance to a whole new level. The warmers are exquisite, the fragrances are so unique and the essential oils and diffusers have really taken off!
New team members and new customers made 2017 a great year! I attended my first Scentsy Family Reunion (our annual convention) in Kansas City and was amazed by all that Scentsy as a company gives to its consultants with training and ideas and support. Lifelong friends were made and I got to meet my Superstar Directors from Texas which I was superstoked about!
The years have flown by--we had a couple of years where life didn't quite look the same as usual but we persevered, got creative with our business model and came through a little (okay, maybe a lot) battle worn. Scentsy had its best couple of years and I'm grateful for my Scentsy VIPs, they are the absolutely phenomenal!
It's March 2024 now and Scentsy is headed into its transition of the Spring/Summer 2024 season--I predict it will be the BEST SEASON YET! Celebrating 20 years of Scentsy--what an accomplishment. From a sheep farm shipping container to Scentsy Commons and international success. You should come on board with us and see what it's all about! The only regret you'll have is that you didn't start sooner!
